Resumen:	This document was prepared by the working committee NA 031-03-05 AA "Systems to supply water for fire fighting - mirror committee of CEN/TC 191/WG 9" of the FNFW. Fittings of the DIN 14461 series of standards are components of a fire extinguishing hose connection device, such as a wall hydrant according to DIN 14461-1 or -6 or a feed-in device or withdrawal device according to DIN 14461-2. The fittings are essential for the function of this fire extinguishing hose connection device. This document defines procedures for conformity assessment in order to be able to ensure consistent product specifications especially for these fire hose connection devices, which under certain circumstances exceed the basic parameters of the standard. The delivery valve installations for firefighting purposes are extinguishing devices which consist of at least two components, whereby the guaranteed properties of the extinguishing device can only be guaranteed when used in combination. This applies, for example, to wall hydrants with hose reels according to DIN EN 671-1, which according to the EU Construction Products Directive 89/106/EEC must be subjected as a unit together with the hose connection valve according to DIN 14461-3 to a conformity assessment in accordance with Annex ZA of EN 671-1. This document specifies requirements for the conformity assessment of fittings of the DIN 14461 series - Delivery valve installations for firefighting purposes as well as the issue of confirmations of conformity or declarations of conformity by the conformity assessment body. The confirmation of conformity with regard to the requirements of the associated product standard leads to the assumption that the object of the conformity assessment is suitable for the purpose intended in the scope of the confirmation and the use intended in the underlying standard DIN 14461. In the case of certification or conformity assessment of products for which a valve in accordance with DIN 14461 is part of the procedure, an existing confirmation of conformity in accordance with this standard can be recognised or adopted, provided that the area of application of the valve is covered by the scope of the confirmation. This applies, for example, to the recognition or acceptance of the conformity confirmation for a hose connection valve according to DIN 14461-3 within the scope of the conformity assessment of a hose reel according to DIN EN 671-1.
