| Resumen: | This document specifies requirements for landing ball valves used to connect hose lines with nozzles for firefighting purposes. The landing ball valve is installed in a cabinet according to DIN 14461-2. These landing ball valves are intended for use in dry firefighting water systems according to DIN 14462. The firefighting water pipes are only supplied with water and pressurized by the fire brigade in case of need, and are emptied again after use. NOTE: For water extraction from firefighting water pipes that are constantly filled and pressurized, see DIN 14461-3. Landing ball valves according to this standard are generally not suitable for this purpose. |
