Resumen:	This document specifies requirements for the planning, installation, operation and maintenance of smoke alarms according to DIN EN 14604 in residential buildings, apartments and rooms with housing-like use. Smoke alarms can be operated individually, networked with each other and/or connected to a warning device. This document is not applicable to fire detection or alarm systems required by special building regulations or building permit procedures. This document was prepared by the working committee NA 031-02-05 AA "Smoke alarms" in the DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection (FNFW).
