Siphons for pressure gauges and their accessories

Resumen: The document specifies sizes and materials for siphons for pressure gauges and their accessories. Syphons separate the pressure gauge from the steam on the process side (i.e., on the pressure tapping side) using the condensate of the measured substance. This thermally isolates the pressure gauge from the process. Three designs for siphons for horizontal pressure tapping (U-shape) are specified: Design A: with connection stud on the pressure tapping side; Design B: with weld connection on the pressure tapping side; Design F: with weld connection on both sides. Three designs for siphons for vertical pressure tapping (circular shape) are specified: Design C: with connection stud on the pressure tapping side; Design D: with weld connection on the pressure tapping side; Design G: with weld connection on both sides. Two designs for connection studs are specified: for siphons of Designs A, B, C and D (with left-handed thread and adjusting nut, instrument side); for siphons of Design A und C (pressure-tapping side). Two designs for compact siphons are specified: Design P: with parallel threads; Design T: with tapered threads. This document is not applicable to sealing washers. Requirements for sealing washers are given in DIN EN 837-1.
