| Resumen: | This standard specifies safety requirements and test methods as well as information to the user for function propoerties of tension and pressure training equipment. This standard is applicable to non-stationary tension and pressure training equipment or similar equipment that e. g. are used for sports and therapeutic activities. Thus it is also applicable to elastic, closed tapes/cords, respectively elastic tapes/Cords with a defined length and (hand-)grips. NOTE 1 As far as non-stationary tension and pressure training equipment are meant in general - neither tension training equipment nor pressure training equipment nor combined tension/pressure training equipment - the abbreviation "training equipment" is used. This standard is analogously applicable to tension and pressure training equipment that solely form part of stationary training equipment in accordance with DIN EN ISO 20957 (all parts) and DIN EN 957 (all parts). NOTE 2 If an elastic tape/cord is attached to a rigid structure, it will be considered as a stationary training equipment in accordance with DIN EN ISO 20957-1. Elastic resistance Systems in a stationary strength training equipment are addressed in DIN EN ISO 20957-2. If non-stationy tension and pressure training equipmentare intended for the use by children unter 14 years of age, other Standards will apply, unless these non-stationary training equipment are intended to be used for educational purposes in Schools other other pedagogic environments for children under supervision by a qualified adult teacher. |
