| Resumen: | If the generally recognised rules of technology are followed with regard to planning, construction and operation of the drinking water installation, the chemical and microbial requirements for drinking water are met without any additional post-treatment. However, practice shows that when operating with hard water (see DIN 1988-200), due to the operating conditions in domestic installations, limescale deposits can occur in pipes, hot water storage tanks and heat exchangers, which subsequently lead to technical faults. This standard is based on DVGW Code of Practice W 510 from 09/1996 and has been revised. This document specifies requirements, for drinking water treatment plants (permanently connected), which serve to reduce scale formation in drinking water installations. |
