| Resumen: | This standard applies to the pickling of metal surfaces in acidic solutions as a chemical, electrochemical, electroless treatment to obtain a metallically pure, bare, oxide-free surface. The purpose of pickling is to remove cast or mill scale skin, oxide layers, rust or scale using suitable acid solutions. |
