| Resumen: | For testing structural adhesives usually "thin samples for shear tensile tests" are prepared according to DIN 53281 with a minimum thickness of 1,5 mm for steel substrates and 3 mm for aluminium substrates. For thinner substrates in dependence of the adhesive system and the chosen overlap length the crack might occur at the adherend. To avoid cracks at the adherend during mechanical testing this document describes the preparation of reinforced coil coated steel sheet test samples. Further the reinforcement helps to reduce the bending moments and the resulting peel forces during mechanical testing. |
