Resumen: This document is applicable to the sterilization of non-industrially manufactured sterilizing goods respectively sterile goods that are packaged in a re-usable sterilization container in accordance with DIN EN 868-8 and are subjected to a steam sterilization process that complies with the requirements of DIN EN 285. This document is also applicable to re-usable sterilization containers that comply with the requirements of DIN EN ISO 11607-1 and, according to the manufacturer's specifications, are subjected to a steam sterilization process that complies with the requirements of DIN EN 285. This document provides guidelines for proper use of re-usable sterilization containers so that sterilization success is not impaired and so that the sterile goods remain free of germs that are capable of reproduction until they are used after appropriate transportation and storage. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 1760307 AA, "Sterile supply", of DIN Standards Committee "Health Technologies".
