| Resumen: | This standard applies to the design of brazed and high-temperature brazed metallic components for aerospace use. To achieve brazings of high quality and high component safety, a number of factors has to be considered: base material, solder and auxiliary material, joint configuration, surface preparation, procedures such as furnace brazing, flame brazing, induction brazing, utilization of jigs or fixtures, mechanical stresses, tightness, corrosion resistance, operating temperature of the component, suitability for repair and inspection. |
