| Resumen: | This document specifies functional dimensions and requirements for the performance characteristics of tables of all shapes (e. g. round, square, oval, rectangular) in the living area (e. g. dining tables, writing tables, pull-out tables, folding tables, coffee tables). This document is not applicable to tables for contract and office furniture, e. g. desks, laboratory tables, school tables, small items of furniture and tables firmly connected to the floor and tops that can be pulled out or folded out of cabinets. This document is also not applicable to outdoor tables. The safety requirements are specified in DIN EN 12521. This document contains four annexes: Annex A (informative) contains testing of the deflection of a table top. Annex B (informative) contains recommendations for solid wood and solid wood panels Annex C (informative) contains recommendations for veneered surfaces Annex D (informative) contains general information on wood-based panels |
