Resumen: This document specifies the requirements for elastomer materials used in the manufacture of non-cellular elastomer glazing and panel gaskets for sealing windows, doors, facades, ventilation and similar objects against air and water. This document distinguishes between seals for façade applications and those for window applications. Façade application refers to gaskets used in facades according to the definitions of DIN EN 13830. In particular, applications in which subsequent replacement in the façade is associated with increased effort, e. g. when it is necessary to dismantle components in order to replace them, or by a positioning if them in places that are difficult to access. Window application refers to seals used in windows according to the definition from DIN EN 12519. In particular, applications in which subsequent replacement is associated with less effort. This document applies to black and coloured elastomer compounds and/or combinations thereof. Products according to this document are used as static, dynamic and load-bearing gaskets.
