| Resumen: | The criteria laid down in this standard serve to evaluate the corrosion behaviour of unprotected metallic materials and coatings subject to free corrosion in seawater. Since the chemical composition of the seawater as well as the extent and the type of fouling are not constant through all seasons and the mechanical loads acting on the material are not constant within a given time period, the estimated corrosion behaviour can only be stated in terms of probability. |
