| Resumen: | This European Technical Specification addresses a test method for an additional overload test for appliances according to EN 16510-2-1:2022 (room heaters) and EN 16510-2-2: Fireplace inserts including open fireplaces. The overload test comprises a test that takes into account a foreseeable operation with a higher than nominal heating capacity (in contrast to the safety test, which takes into account an expected operation in the worst case). The overload test ensures that the performance of the appliance remains constant, even if the usage deviates from the nominal test requirements. It assesses the appliance's ability to process a greater quantity of fuel than the nominal fuel quantity. |
