| Resumen: | This document specifies requirements and gives recommendations for the planning, installation and maintenance of fixed sprinkler systems in buildings and industrial plants. It specifies requirements for special sprinkler systems that are essential for measures to protect human life. This document covers the classification of hazards, the type of water supplies, the components to be used, the installation and testing of the system, the maintenance and extension of existing systems. It identifies construction details of buildings that are required for the proper functioning of sprinkler systems in accordance with this document. This document is not applicable to water supply systems other than sprinkler systems. Its requirements may be used as a guide for other fixed firefighting systems, provided that specific requirements for other extinguishing agents are taken into account. This document is intended for all those involved in the procurement, design, installation, testing, inspection, approval, operation and maintenance of automatic sprinkler systems to ensure that these systems operate as intended throughout their service life. |
