Resumen: This standard deals with the technical requirements to minimise the risks which can arise during operation and maintenance of permanently installed equipment and systems for driven parking of motor vehicles. Electromagnetic compatibility requirements are also covered. Vehicle lifts which are used for examining or working on motor vehicles are not covered (see EN 1493). This European Standard does not deal with the design of the building or structural elements which are not part of the mechanised parking equipment or system and in addition does not cover goods lifts for lifting vehicles with or without persons.
