| Resumen: | This document specifies methods for the determination of characteristic 5-percentile strength and density values as well as mean values for stiffness from test results for solid wood, fasteners, and wood-based products in the frame of initial type testing. This document also gives methods for checking strength, density or stiffness properties in the frame of factory production control by variables. Sampling is not covered by this document, but reference is made to the relevant product standards. In addition to this standard, specific requirements related to the product are given in separate standards. NOTE For example, in the case of solid timber, specific correction factors for calculation of characteristic values are given in EN 384. |
