| Resumen: | New scientific and user-based findings have made the revision of DIN EN 15518-3 necessary and indispensable. Essentially, however, non-invasive (remote) road condition sensors are already used in many road weather stations. There is a tendency that this new technology will also largely replace embedded road sensors in the near future. The specifications and requirements contained in the currently valid standard are no longer applicable to this new non-invasive (remote) technology! It is therefore imperative to revise the standard and extend it to the state of the art. All experts in the working group agree that all requirements contained in the standard should also be verified by suitable test procedures specified in CEN / TS 15518-4. It is therefore urgently necessary that, in parallel and in coordination with the requirements contained in Part 3, the associated CEN/TS 15518-4 is also revised and extended (see revision project for CEN / TS 15518-4). |
