Resumen:	This document specifies requirements intended to ensure the safety and health of persons when they use motor caravans for temporary or seasonal habitation. It also specifies the corresponding test methods. Specific requirements of this document apply to motor caravans where the overall length multiplied by the overall width does not exceed 13,5 m2 plan area. Requirements applicable to road safety are not included in the scope of this document. This document is applicable exclusively to motor caravans as defined in EN 13878. Dieses Dokument ist die Überarbeitung der DIN EN 1646-1:2018. Es legt Anforderungen für die Sicherheit und Gesundheit von Personen fest, wenn diese Motorcaravans zeitweilig oder saisonbedingt bewohnen. Sie legt auch die entsprechenden Prüfverfahren fest. Bestimmte Anforderungen dieses Dokumentes gelten nicht für Motorcaravans, deren Grundfläche, ermittelt durch Multiplikation der Gesamtlänge mit der Gesamtbreite, nicht größer als 13,5 m2 ist. Anforderungen an die Sicherheit im Straßenverkehr gehören nicht zum Anwendungsbereich dieses Dokumentes. Dieses Dokument gilt ausschließlich für starre Caravans und starre Klappcaravans, wie in EN 13878 definiert. Das zuständige deutsche Normungsgremium ist der Arbeitsausschuss NA 112-02-02 AA "Bewohnbare Freizeitfahrzeuge" im DIN-Normenausschuss Sport- und Freizeitgerät (NASport).
