| Resumen: | The purpose of this document is to allow users to determine the fine fraction with the calculation method. It also describes the assumptions and preconditions to be met in order for this method to be valid. This calculation method is applicable only after experiments have shown that the results are accurate and consistently equal or higher than the results from sedimentation, as described in Part 3, for that particular bulk material. For preparation of the sample and determination of crystalline silica by XRD and FTIR the users can refer to Part 1. An informative annex describes a specific method for the evaluation of the FF recommended for diatomaceous earth bulk materials. This document is applicable for bulk materials that contain particles in the size range from 0,1 micrometer to 125 micrometer satisfying with the criteria given in this part and Part 3. |
