| Resumen: | This European standard describes a method for the determination of aflatoxins in spices other than Paprika. The sample is extracted with a solvent solution (methanol/acetonitrile/water). The sample extract is filtered, diluted with phosphate buffered saline (PBS) and applied to an immunoaffinity column (IAC) containing antibodies specific to aflatoxins B1, B2, G1 and G2. The aflatoxins are eluted from the immunoaffinity column. Aflatoxins are quantified by reversephase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) with post column derivatization (PCD) involving romination followed by fluorescence detection. |
