| Resumen: | This document describes a method to determine the polysaccharide content of macroalgae biomass by monosaccharide determination after acid hydrolysis. It specifies a method for the hydrolysis conditions to be used depending on the algae and a quantitative technique for determining the released monosaccharides and a calculation of polysaccharide content. This method does not apply to the determination of polysaccharides from microalgae. |
