| Resumen: | This European Standard specifies the additional or deviating requirements to EN 81-1 and EN 81-2 for new passenger and goods passenger lifts, which may be used for firefighting and evacuation purposes under firefighters control. It deals with the significant hazards pertinent to lifts when they are used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer and installers, in the view of the needs of the firefighters. A lift to which this standard is applied shall satisfy the basic safety requirements applicable to the type of lift as defined in the appropriate DIN Standard. |
