| Resumen: | Three methods for the determination of the sound insulation (insertion loss) are given: 1) Measurements using the machine as a sound source, 2) Measurement with artificial sound source, 3) Reciprocity method with external artificial diffuse field and measurement inside the enclosure. Measurements are carried out using basic noise emission test codes. Therefore, either sound pressure or sound power insulation is determined. For enclosures with a volume of more than 2 cubic metres, limitations may exist, which result from the use of the basic standads. The standard applies to complete enclosures only (not to their constituent parts). |
