| Resumen: | This document defines a framework measurement procedure for the measurement of sound immissions from sound sources close to the ear. The measurements are performed using a manikin equipped with ear simulators and microphones according to ITU-T P.58. The measured values are then converted into corresponding free field or diffuse field levels. The results can be given as free field or diffuse field related A-weighted equivalent continuous sound pressure levels. The method is called manikin method. It can be applied to exposure to sound sources close to the ear, such as earphones or hearing protectors with speech transmission systems, for example during equipment testing or at the workplace. |
