| Resumen: | This document applies to eye and face protectors intended to provide protection against accidentalexposure to laser radiation within the wavelength range 180 nm to 1 mm. It defines the requirements,test methods and marking. Laser protective filters used for intentional exposure to laser radiation, asviewing windows in laser equipment or incorporated into optical instruments such as operatingmicroscopes which may be used for deliberate viewing of laser radiation as part of their function, andloupes, are outside the scope of this document.This document is applicable to devices intended for patient protection during medical laser proceduresexcept for treatment in the periorbital area.The eye protection described in this document is intended for use at normal ambient temperature (23 ±5)°C, unless specified in particular requirement(s). |
