Resumen:	The document constitutes a common standard for the coding and transmission of component television signals at bit-rates in the range of 34 to 45 Mbit/s in the format specified by CCIR Recommendation 601. The document embraces the video coding algorithm together with provisions for the transmission of audio and teletext services to acompany the video and for the application of scrambling for conditional access. Das Dokument legt einen gemeinsamen Standard für Codierung und Übertragung von Fernseh-Komponentensignalen entsprechend der CCIR-Empfehlung 601 für den Bitratenbereich von 34 bis 45 Mbit/s fest. Neben dem Codierungsalgorithmus für das Bildsignal umfaßt das Dokument Angaben für die Mitübertragung von Ton- und Teletexdaten sowie Vorkehrungen zur Einrichtung von Verwürfelungsmaßnahmen für eine Zugangsbeschränkung.
