| Resumen: | This DIN SPEC in accordance with the PAS procedure has been drawn up by a DIN SPEC (PAS)-consortium set up on a temporary basis. This DIN SPEC has been developed and approved by the authors named in the foreword of the DIN SPEC. DIN SPEC 91391-2 specifies the conceptual requirements for procedures and data structures for data exchange between CDEs or between a CDE and other software applications. Through a defined, lossless data exchange, the continuity of the data has to be ensured, even if CDEs of several vendors are involved during the lifecycle of a building. The requirements for CDE interfaces as well as protocols and structures for data exchange are specified. The requirements described here do not describe the syntax for a openCDE interface implementation. Interfaces of different manufacturers therefore generally differ syntactically, even if the conceptual requirements presented here are adhered to. An openCDE-compliant interface allows the target group-oriented compilation of information content. Through the specification of information requirements (BEP/EIR) due to information demand, information can be classified in a CDE so that actually needed information can easily be identified for the purpose of the use case of a target group. These can be aggregated in an information container and communicated via an openCDE interface. Examples from risk management and facility management are presented. The requirements for an openCDE-compliant interface focus on the container-based information exchange described in DIN SPEC 91391-1. The interface therefore does not include functionalities for exchanging the internal information of the containers. Depending on the type of container (e. g. IFC models or BCF communication), more specific interfaces may be offered by CDE providers, but are outside the scope of this DIN SPEC. Flexible and seamless data exchange between software products requires a standardized interface. The technical implementation of an openCDE interface should consider open standards for the specification of web interfaces (OpenAPI), for secure authentication methods (OAuth) and for the use of parameters for the search, sorting and filtering of queries according to specific criteria (OData). For this purpose, this DIN SPEC specifies requirements for a web-based dynamic interface that supports various application areas and is based on the REpresentational State Transfer API (REST).
