| Scope: | New IEEE Standard - Active - Draft. The purpose of this document is to provide a set of market-based recommended practices for two-way interaction (Vehicle-to-Grid, V2G) technologies between electric vehicles (EVs) and the grid to facilitate the efficient integration and utilization of EVs as a flexible resource in the grid. This document initially describes the overall architecture of the V2G system, including the way in which electric vehicles, charging facilities, communication networks, and the grid are integrated. The system realizes bidirectional energy flow between electric vehicles and the power grid through real-time data exchange and intelligent control, and this enhances flexibility and stability of the power grid. Many types of charging piles and their technical characteristics are then described in detail. |
